TRAVELLING IN NEW ZEALAND

We are fortunate to live in New Zealand. It is a beautiful country, with much to offer, whatever your choice of transport or length of stay.

From luxury to budget back packing (with a bit of casual, paid work thrown in, perhaps?) there is a lot of choice.

Adventure travel is a big part of visiting NZ. The Original New Zealand Adventure Tour Company, Flying Kiwi are great people to talk to when looking for a NZ holiday with some adventure thrown in.

If you just have a few days, or plan to stay for months, the beauty and adventure of NZ will have something for you.

Ski Holidays in NZ

Winter in New Zealand brings great snow at a time of year when most of the rest of the world is enjoying their summer.

NZ also attracts a lot of Australian skiers. We are close enough, and there are good choices in both the North and South Islands. Plus their travel money goes a bit further on this side of the ditch.

Another more recent trend is for International Ski Teams to use NZ as a training base during our winter. If you are a dedicated skier or snowboarder - professional or perhaps olympic hopeful - then there is no way you are going to "sit out" for six months of each year - if you want to be at the top of your game. One of the great recent developments to make traveling faster and easier, is the ability to securely park your vehicle with ease when you are flying - domestic or international.

Remember the days when you had to call that long lost relative or friend (that you hadn't seen in years), and ask them to take you to the airport (at four in the morning) just because they happened to live in the city you were flying from...
