HOW LONG DOES THE REGISTRATION LAST?A financing statement is intially valid for 5 years or until the loan is repaid in full.When you have repaid your loan the finance company should remove the registered security. However, this does not always happen so if you are applying for a new loan the lender may find an old financing statement.
